upwegrow is a lovely tropical plant store in South Edmonton Mall. I am excited to be offering a Plant Journaling Workshop. All supplies are included, including one of my 4x4 inch hand bound journals, micron pen and a plant to take home. We will sketch, paint and record  the care and history of the plant.

Discription:

Learn how to create a collage with hand painted tissue papers, paint your abstract or impressionistic subject, (your subject can be portraits, landscapes or still life). The tissue papers are torn and applied to a canvas, next Terrie will teach you how to paint transparently on top of your collage with acrylic paint.

Day one Painting Tissue Papers — have a fun filled day painting white tissue paper with fluid acrylics. Make your own stamps, create textures, watch your paint colours mingle into surprising shapes. Once the tissue papers are dry they will be applied on top of your canvas with matt medium.

Day two Painting Transparent — with your choice of subject Terrie will inspire you and show you how to paint transparent on top of your collaged canvas.

This workshop is for beginners to Advanced artists, there will be lots of demos and guidance.
